Tranquebar Craft Resource Centre, TCRC, facilitated and provided the space for a children’s summer camp from 26th to 30th May 2010.  The goal of this event was to establish stronger relations with the surrounding community.  Twenty-five children and teenagers from the local fishing community and neighbouring households attended the camp from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. every day.

The programme consisted of painting, storytelling, dance, drama and colouring.  Local artists were invited to teach the children.  The camp culminated in a performance on the last day.  There was a farewell dinner, and gifts were presented to all the participants.
